Lets get quiet together.
Chances are, the majority of the time we are 'living' these days, we are 'living in noise'. Unless we are lucky enough to live on a deserted island of course!
Most of our time is spent in the noise and chatter of our daily lives, busy work environments, the busy city, our noisy homes, the stimulation of social media, mobile phones, TV, loud music...... when was the last time you were truly silent? YES perhaps in your sleep...but what about during your waking hours...
With constant mental and emotional noise within, its likely we are all craving silence... whether we know it consciously or not... even the thought of being truly silent can be intimating for many as it unfortunately is such an alien process for us ..
It we find ourself addicted to 'noise', social media, our phones, being around people, distractions, a silent practice could be just what we need to introduce.
Join me for a short and sweet silent experience - going deeply inward and inviting an awareness into the parts of ourselves we don't usually experience or even try hard to avoid.. this process allows us to learn to process and heal the inner imbalances and begin to acknowledge those parts that need healing, addressing even the most difficult and deeply suppressed feelings and emotions.
During this 1/2 day workshop we will delve into various powerful silent meditative practices, mindfulness, contemplative meditation,chanting of internal silent mantram (mantram = silent mantra), insightful sacred readings/teachings from the vedas and other sacred texts and the contemplation of these teachings in silence, moving meditation, qi gong, pranayama, mindful silent application of asana, movement based asana, yin asana and a slow deep hatha practice, taking time to 'feel ' the asana and the affect of the asana in silence.
We will share tea and sweet treat in silence before departing.
This 1/2 day workshop is suitable for all and everyone - all levels of practice will benefit from adding more silence into their lives.
Learn how to be alone with yourself, love yourself, experience this silent journey inward with great compassion in revealing who you really are. When we are silent we have to hear all thoughts whether negative or positive, we have to experience all parts of who we are, allowing our true selves to unfold , and honouring ourself fully in this process, With practice, we will reap huge benefits of true compassion and self love for all parts of ourselves which present themselves for recognition throughout our silence...lets begin this silent journey together..
